I'll tell you what I did John, I found a pair of leather throw-over type bags that look like they were made for a pony. They have two buckles on each bag, and are big enough for a rain suit, etc. I hang them over the passenger pillion and tie them together under and through the pillion so they don't flop around in the wind. There is absolutely no modification to the bike in any way, I can take them off any time, and they fit right between the rear turn signal and the rear shock. I died them black with liquid Kiwi shoe polish, don't look half bad either, and you hardly even know they are there. Think they cost $15.00, if I remember. I like simplicity and economy, probably why I have an LS650. See you around, Frank
